In July 2018 Our Workshop teamed up with the African Center for Cities to make an immersive installation for their Integration and Ideas Festival. Inspired by an artist walkabout with Bonolo Kavula we began by speaking about culture and heritage in Langa and experimenting with iterative printing.

In 2017, Our Workshop teamed up with the design shop Stable to create an interactive making space where designers and gallery-goers could make things together subverting the standard consumer-manufacturer relationship.
Sustainability and our environment
Our Workshop provide education on how to collect, separate and upcycle waste in an environmentally conscious way. The waste is used to make products which in turn will make living spaces more green and liveable – including shacks in townships.
This allows people to experience for themselves how more environmentally sensitive choices can improve their lives.
